Meet the team
behind the strings
Strings Bit burst into the Madrid’s music scene by the beginning of 2015, overstepping the boundaries of classical music and embracing other formats.
The group is formed by Ángel Boti (violin) and Fani Villarón (cello), who shelved their wooden classical instruments to get into the new sonorities that 21st century electric instruments allow them to reach.
He began his violin studies at the early age of seven years old in Madrid.
In 2012, he obtains his Bachelor in Music degree with the highest grades in the Aragon Conservatorium of Music (CSMA). Winner of the Hazen Chamber music Competition (2007 and 2008), he has performed as soloist and has been invited as a member of the jury in the ADNA Music Competition of the Royal Conservatoire of Madrid.
He is a member of the “Orquesta en el Tejado” (Ara Malikian), the Comunidad de Madrid Youth Orchestra, the Filarmonía Orchestra and the European Royal Ensemble, among others, having toured in France, Germany and Spain. He has taken part in the opening act for “Rock in Rio Madrid”, in the “Los veranos de la Villa” Festival in Madrid during the years 2011, 2014 and 2015..
He has recently been selected to take part in the Lago Theater International Festival (Chile), in a multidisciplinary performance along with the New York’s Little Orchestra Society and the so acclaimed light expert from Broadway, Clifton Taylor.
Our cellist was born in Lliria where she began her musical studies. Afterwards, she was accepted in the “Salvador Sagui” Conservatorium of Music in Castellón and graduated in CSMA with the highest marks.
As an orchestra musicican, she has been part of the Valencia Philharmonic Orchestra, Murcia Región Youth Orchestra, “Orquesta en el Tejado”, Madrid Symphony Academy Orchestra, Generalitat Valenciana Youth Orchestra, National Youth Otchestra of the Netherlands, etc., performing in prestigious European halls such as Kammermusiksaal in Berlin.
She has been finalist in numerous competitions like “Ciutat de Lliria”, “Ciutat de Xativa”, Ibercaja Grant, Prize Scholarship of the Valencia Philharmonic Orchestra and FIDAH Grant and was admitted to do her Master’s degree in the “Royal Northern College of Music” in Manchester.
She is currently combining her teaching activity in Madrid with StringsBit.
